Die Islamische Glaubensgemeinschaft in Österreich nimmt zur Studie über die „islamischen“ Kindergärten, von der bisher nur eine Vorstudie präsentiert wurde, wie folgt Stellung:
1.Es gibt in Wien keine konfessionellen islamischen Kindergärten in Trägerschaft der IGGIÖ, deshalb muss die Frage zu stellen erlaubt sein, was denn von den Studienautoren als islamischer Kindergarten bezeichnet wird? Geht es um Kindergärten, die in der Trägerschaft von Musliminnen und Muslimen stehen? Hierzu habe ich mich bereits geäußert: Es ist „undemokratisch und auch gefährlich, in einem demokratischen Land die Bürger nach Glauben zu qualifizieren. Mit dem Finger auf eine Gruppe zu zeigen, ist unmenschlich.“
2.Die Islamische Glaubensgemeinschaft in Österreich weist auf die hervorragende Arbeit vieler Kindergärten hin, die in Trägerschaft unterschiedlicher Verbände und Vereine sind. Will ein Islam in Europa gefördert werden, dann kann dies nur im Rahmen von gut funktionierenden Strukturen und Institutionen erfolgen.
3.Die vorliegende Studie ist quantitativ und qualitativ nicht aussagekräftig. Die Anzahl der befragten Kindergärten, Kindergruppen wie auch die der Eltern und ehemaligen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter bewegt sich unter 5 %. Weiterhin wird das Forschungsdesign der Studie in keiner Weise erwähnt, das Vorgehen bleibt somit fragwürdig.
4.Dass wenige Kindergartenträger eine Offenheit für das Forschungsprojekt gezeigt haben sollen, ergibt sich aus der Tatsache, dass sie sich offenbar nicht als religiöse Kindergärten betrachten. Hier eine „Islamisierung“ der Träger vorzunehmen ist weder seriös noch zielführend. Darauf haben zahlreiche Verantwortungsträger der Stadt Wien mehrfach hingewiesen. Die Stadt Wien trägt mit ihrer Integrationspolitik wesentlich dazu bei, dass sich Menschen unterschiedlichen kulturellen und weltanschaulichen Hintergrunds wohl fühlen – deshalb ist sie mehrfach zur lebenswertesten Stadt der Welt gekürt worden. Die Gesetze und Regelungen gelten in Österreich unabhängig vom religiösen Bekenntnis und müssen selbstverständlich eingehalten werden. Deshalb begrüße ich jede Studie und Beforschung – auch der Kindergärten – die nicht auf das Religionsbekenntnis der Träger beschränkt ist.
5.Es wird in der Studie bemängelt, dass in einigen Einrichtungen Kopftuchträgerinnen zur Bewerbung ermuntert werden. Angesichts zahlreicher Studien, die belegen, dass Frauen mit Kopftuch auf dem Arbeitsmarkt diskriminiert werden, begrüßen wir jede Einrichtung, die es Frauen ermöglicht, mit ihrem religiösen Bekenntnis berufstätig zu sein. Die Alternative, dass diese Frauen nicht in den Arbeitsmarkt integriert werden, kann wohl nicht im Interesse der Gesellschaft sein.
6.Ebenso wird in der Studie bemängelt, dass in manchen Gruppen muttersprachliche Angebote bestehen. Alle Studien belegen, dass Kinder eine Zweitsprache besser erlernen können, wenn sie ihre Muttersprache gut beherrschen – es ist demnach aus pädagogischen und entwicklungspsychologischen Gründen notwendig, Kinder mehrsprachig zu qualifizieren und damit ihre sprachlichen Kompetenzen zu stärken – und damit auch die deutsche Sprache.
